Pure 0 is a game that seeks to express the experience of persistent intrusive thoughts and compulsions of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

 

Pure 0 is meant as a kind of wordplay; in the case the player submits to acting out on any compulsion, they receive a score of zero and remain pure within the realm of their irrational logic. Whereas, if they restrain themselves, the experience will remain purely obsessional, otherwise known as a Pure O OCD.

 

The hope is that people who relate to this experience learn to detach academic success from success in recovery.
